Alexis Dominique Bueno
as Marisol Valencia
Alexis Dominique Bueno is thrilled to join the cast of Sol The Musical, having previously played Marisol in early readings. A performer since childhood, she trained with Ateneo Children's Theatre, G-Force Tweens, and Chapkis Dance Family, competing twice in World of Dance. She recently earned her AA in Theatre Arts from Solano Community College, where her credits include Head Over Heels, Anything Goes, Alice in Wonderland, Priscilla: Queen of the Desert, and Pippin.
Janella Leano
as Claudette Valencia
Janella is a lifelong performer with training in classical ballet, piano composition, and over eight years of hula, currently dancing professionally with Nā Lei Hulu I Ka Wēkiu. She also sings first soprano with the East Bay Musical Society’s Broadway Chorus. Janella is excited to continue her performance journey with Sol the Musical.
Ben Flores Decastro
as Lorenzo De La Cruz
Ben Flores Decastro is an actor and former photographer born in Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi, now based in San Francisco. After training at ZA Studio, he has appeared in various short films and commercial roles across California. He is currently represented by Image Powerhouse, Kathy Mueller, and Models Inc.
Joji Isla
as Felipe Valencia
Joji Isla is a seasoned actor with a career spanning radio, TV, film, and stage in both the Philippines and the U.S. He is known for comedic roles in Sic O'Clock News and Abangan ang Susunod na Kabanata, and has performed in over 40 films and numerous stage productions. Now based in the Bay Area, Joji continues his creative journey as both a performer and a director for stage events.
Rosanna Sakwan
as Charo Valencia
Rosanna Sakwan, born in San Francisco and raised in Vallejo, discovered her love for singing at age five and won a local karaoke contest in 2017. She now shares that passion as a karaoke hostess, blending talent and warmth. Married for 29 years with three children, Rosanna celebrates Filipino culture through music and family.
Celine Ramos
as Young Claudette
Celine Ramos is an Art and Design student with a passion for musicals sparked by Hamilton at age 10. She has performed in two stage musicals, sung with the St. Basil Church choir, and dances with Ikonic Dance Group. Celine is excited to play Young Claudette and bring her fire and heart to the stage.
Jet Kyle Cortez
as Young Lorenzo
Jet Kyle Cortez is a musician, songwriter, and producer from Vallejo currently working on his third studio album, Taking Flight. A 2020 Jesse Bethel graduate and Army Reservist, Jet is also a multi-instrumentalist who writes, composes, and performs. He believes music is life and is committed to helping others grow through it as well.
Bechay Galang
as Alma De La Cruz
Bechay Galang, originally from Pampanga, is a former Special Education teacher and homemaker now working as an optician in the Bay Area. She spent seven adventurous years in Penang, Malaysia, raising her family and creating lasting memories. A proud “jack-of-all-trades,” Bechay finds joy in baking, hiking, painting, and constant learning.
Senen Bagos Jr.
as Alberto De La Cruz
Senen Bagos Jr. is a powerhouse vocalist and actor who has performed lead roles in Carmen, La Bohème, and Pagliacci, among others, with companies like Verismo Opera and Pocket Opera. He has also served for decades as a church cantor and sings with ensembles such as 707VOCE and The Well-Tempered Voices. Outside of music, Senen holds a sixth-degree black belt in Kajukenbo and teaches martial arts with the same discipline he brings to the stage.
Lyian David Soria
as Aurelia Preston
Lyian David Soria is a Pangasinense-American filmmaker, dancer, choreographer, and actor who teaches K–12 and hip hop classes across the Bay Area. She directs Project 925 and has choreographed and produced video work for Filipino-American artists. Lyian is currently developing her feature film Ate, Kuya, Bunso and a Halloween horror dance short.
Dominic Mah
as Jamie Preston
Dominic Mah found his love for singing in elementary school choir and discovered theater during his junior year at Armijo High in 2019. A student at Solano Community College, he's performed in Head Over Heels, Anything Goes, Priscilla, and All Shook Up. Dominic also enjoys improv and pop-up dance classes in his free time.
Bailey Burmester
as Tom Preston
Bailey Burmester is excited to join Sol, with past roles including Davey in Newsies, Peter in Peter and the Starcatcher, and The Cat in Seussical. He is also a director, choreographer, and educator at his local theater company. Bailey thanks the creative team and his wife Allie for their support.
Audrey Schultz
as Belen De La Cruz
Audrey Schultz is a Berkeley-based actor whose recent credits include The Taming of the Shrew, The Women, The Epic of Gilgamesh, and The Marriage Proposal. She holds a BA in Theatre and Performance Studies from UC Berkeley with a focus on acting. Audrey enjoys interpreting complex texts and also writes and directs.
Juniper & Jahan Habib
as Joy & LJ De La Cruz
Juniper and Jahan Habib are talented siblings from Oakland who love storytelling and travel. Juniper studies ballet and piano while Jahan practices jiu-jitsu, beatboxes, and plays club soccer. Both won their school’s Oratorical Festival and are excited to explore musical theater together.
Rebekah Peñaloza
as Mayor Pilar Bautista / Ensemble
Rebekah Peñaloza is a Filipina American performer with a background in dance and vocal training, proud to be part of a story that celebrates her culture. She was most recently seen as Philoclea in Head Over Heels at Solano College Theatre. Rebekah is grateful to her family, partner, and the Sol team for their support.
DeRonte Bridges
as Pierre (Boutique shop) / Ensemble
DeRonte Bridges is an actor and vocalist from Vallejo, known for roles in Little Shop of Horrors, Hamlet, and Alice in Wonderland. He began his theater journey at Armijo High School and earned a BA in Theatre from Sacramento State University. DeRonte is honored to be part of Sol The Musical and thanks his loved ones for their support.
Nile Ezekiel Garcia
as Aldo / Ensemble
Nile Ezekiel Garcia is thrilled to join the Sol cast after nearly earning his AA-T in Theatre Arts at Solano Community College. Inspired by earlier staged readings, Nile has performed in Head Over Heels (Musidorus), Alice By Heart, Anything Goes, and Priscilla. He also enjoys improv and pop-up dance classes whenever possible.
